A beautiful tree house for seriously-ill children and their families to spend quality time together is the newest feature at Sebastian’s Action Trust’s facility in Crowthorne.

The amazing wooden tree house is nestled among the trees in the beautiful grounds of The Woodlands.

London-based LBC Contractors Ltd and property developers Leconfield Ltd, completed the design and build of the amazing tree house and had great pleasure in revealing Sebastian’s Tree House and its impressive features to Jane and Trust staff recently.

LBC Contractors Ltd and Leconfield Ltd, together with Knektd, were previously involved in the development of the cinema suites at both The Woodlands and The Bluebells – the Trust’s site in North Waltham, Hampshire.

A team of more than 50 contractors volunteered hundreds of hours to ensure Sebastian’s Tree House is a warm, welcoming and cosy space for families of seriously-ill children to make memories with their loved ones.

The tree house has woodland themed décor with unique lighting designs to offset the amenities which include a wide-screen TV for families to watch films together, underfloor heating, colourful bean bags, toys, books  and games that can be enjoyed at a communal table and seating area. There is also an engraved wooden arch, depicting the entrance to ‘Sebastian’s Tree House’.

Jane Gates OBE, CEO Sebastian’s Action Trust, and Sebastian’s mummy, said: “I am absolutely overwhelmed by the time, effort and love that has gone into every single aspect of the new tree house. Sebastian had a tree house in the garden of our family home in Ascot and loved spending time in there. This would have meant so much to him, knowing that so many children for years to come are going to enjoy this wonderful space.”

Carl Volker, Project Manager of LBC Contractors Ltd, said: “We felt so inspired when we worked with the Trust before and are very proud of what we have created. We thank everyone who contributed time, effort and materials for everything that has been achieved. It’s a great space and we can’t wait to see children using Sebastian’s Tree House with their families.”
