Berkshire Business Network very generously donated a cheque for £400 to the local Samaritans at Bracknell, Wokingham and Ascot branch.   Dr Phillip Lee, MP representing the Network is pictured here with volunteers, Nick Tuggey and Barbara Denyer outside Hope Cottage, Mount Pleasant, where the branch is based in Bracknell.

Nick Tuggey, volunteer for Fundraising said “It costs around £25,000 a year to maintain our branch. We are most grateful to Dr Lee, as we rely heavily on donations like this to continue providing the Samaritan’s service to the local community.”

Dr Lee was accompanied on his visit to the branch by Katie Dover from his constituency office, who has previously participated in the Samaritans Run, the 38th holding of which will take place on 29th June this year.

After passing on the donation, Dr Lee commented “The Berkshire Business Network recognises the extremely valuable work that Samaritans do, and we are very pleased to be able to meet with and support the local branch.
