To commemorate all who served, sacrificed and changed our world between 1918 and 2018, The Lexicon is installing two Poppy Displays in The Avenue.

Each of the Poppy Displays, which took 100 hours to construct, are made from more than 250 individual poppies made by ex-service men. A symbol of remembrance and hope, the striking tribute will be situated on either side of The Avenue from Thursday, November 1 – November 11.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says: “With The Lexicon positioned at the centre of the community, we are pleased to recognise commemorate such an important anniversary.  We will also be welcoming a number of local community groups which will be fundraising for the Royal British Legion.”

The Lexicon will be further supporting the initiative with collections throughout the town centre from October:
