Coworth Flexlands School   Pupils invited to attend Royal Wedding at St George’s Chapel | Pupils at Coworth Flexlands School celebrated the wedding of former pupil Princess Eugenie.  The Princess attended the school from 1995 to 2001 when it was known as Coworth Park School.

To mark the special day, the pupils participated in a range of fun activities with a royal theme.  Activities include cupcake decorating, ‘majestic music’, crown making, regal dance and drama.  At lunch time, dressed in their finery, the children and staff all sat down together to enjoy a ‘banquet’ lunch.

The royal-themed programme of activities continued into the afternoon with a royal party where pupils played ‘tiara’ games and royal puzzles.

To involve the local community in their celebrations, staff also delivered cupcakes to residents at Dormy House in Sunningdale, White Lodge in Chertsey and Ascot Day Centre in Sunninghill.

A select group of Coworth Flexlands pupils and staff attended the royal wedding itself at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.  They were particularly excited to watch the bridal party walk down the aisle which includes Princess Beatrice – another former pupil of the school.

Nicola Cowell, Head of Coworth Flexlands School, said: “This is a very special day for everyone at Coworth Flexlands.  We are delighted to be celebrating the wedding of our former pupil Princess Eugenie and are particularly honoured that a group of pupils and staff have been invited to the ceremony itself.  They are all incredibly excited and I am sure will remember this day for many years to come.

“We congratulate Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on their wedding and wish them the very best as they embark on married life together.”
