St Peter’s Hospital Maternity Unit has announced the arrival of the quadruplets born at St Peter’s Hospital on Wednesday 11th July 2018.
Three girls and one boy were delivered by caesarean section to Melisa and Jon. Mum Melisa and Dad Jon are over the moon and the couple decided to name the babies soon after they were born - the girls were called Evie, Maddison and Cassidy and the boy is Logan.
Dr Sian McDonnel, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, who was lead clinician for the birth said; "To be involved in the delivery and antenatal care of the quadruplets was an incredible privilege. It was the first, and probably the only time, that many people in the delivery room will be involved in such a case - and definitely one that I will remember for the rest of my career. With at least nine of the neonatal team in theatre with us for delivery, it really showed how our teams work well together.
“We all wish the family the very best for the future."
