The Lexicon BRACKNELL , which opened on September 7th, 2017 for a four-day celebration, following the £240 million regeneration, is delighted to announce that Skechers and Whittard of Chelsea are the latest retailers to sign-up for the town centre.

Award winning lifestyle and performance footwear favourite Skechers, will open on Braccan Walk between Beauty Base and Office in the coming months.

Headquartered in California, USA, Skechers has stores in more than 160 countries and territories across the globe. The brand is renowned for its ranges of stylish lifestyle footwear for men, women and children, and its performance division for athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Hot beverage specialist Whittard of Chelsea will open by the end of March on The Avenue between Carluccio’s and The Body Shop.

Established in the 19th century, the first Whittard of Chelsea store was opened by London merchant Walter Whittard in 1886, where he sold teas from around the world to eager London customers.  Today, the retailer offers a fabulous collection of teas, coffees, hot chocolates, tableware, gifts and equipment and in-store tasting.

Simon Russian, development manager for Legal & General on behalf of Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, says:  “Both these retailers add something that little bit different to our retail mix.  We have been delighted with the tremendous support for the new town centre, with footfall numbers exceeding our expectations, with 5.8 million visits by the end of December.  Thank you for supporting and we hope enjoying the new town centre.”

Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, says:  “It’s great news that Skechers and Whittard of Chelsea are joining the list of retailers at The Lexicon – they will complement the existing shops that so many people are already enjoying, as can be seen from the recent footfall figures.”
