Charters School in Sunningdale believes that every student should strive to reach their full potential and the school runs a comprehensive Aspiring High programme to ensure that the very brightest students receive the guidance they need to achieve their goals.

This summer saw a record-breaking eight students achieve their dream of studying at Oxbridge, with three continuing their studies at Cambridge and a further five at Oxford.

The school ensures that students are given the opportunity to visit both Universities throughout their time at Sixth Form and have strong links with Brasenose College, Oxford which runs a variety of workshops at Charters School.

Co-Headteachers, Mr Martyn Parker and Mr Richard Pilgrim said, "We are extremely proud of the achievements of all our Year 13 students.  There were many exceptional performances this year and a significant increase in the number of top A* grades.”

Kitty Boxall who is due to start a three year Law degree at Trinity College, Oxford later this month said, “I can’t wait to begin my studies at Oxford. It’s such a prestigious university and I plan to really enjoy my time there.”

Ms Olimpia Morrison, Director of Sixth Form said "This summer we had a 99% pass rate, 31% of entries were graded A* or A, 58% A* to B and 80% A* to C.  The excellent grades achieved have resulted in a very large number of our students being accepted into their first choice university and a significant number are going on to Russell Group universities. We’re really looking forward to welcoming Year 11 students to our Sixth Form Open Evening on 19 October and have a lot to be excited about. Our Sixth Form tutors are very experienced in helping students with their UCAS applications and we are excellent at looking objectively at personal statements to ensure students have the very best opportunity to succeed in their application process. We believe that Charters Sixth Form gives students a fantastic foundation on which to build their future. ”
