The art scholars of Papplewick School, Ascot,  had the opportunity to do a painting workshop with artist Sadie James, former resident of Sunninghill.

Sadie, who used to assist in the art department, and was also 'Artist in Residence' at Papplewick  before leaving for Australia, painted the wonderful themed murals on the school’s dormitory walls. She now lives in Coral Bay in Australia and is working on her second children's book The Bubble, having had considerable success with her first, The Whale Shark Song.

The boys, aged 12-13 years, painted a canvas in acrylic and thoroughly enjoyed the rewarding experience of working with this talented artist.

Sadie also showed the Papplewick Year 2 boys her animation, which toured around the North West in Western Australia as part of the Gascoyne in May series of festivals.
