Ascot based Performing Arts School, NVSDD, has been awarded GOLD in the recent Dance School of the Year Competition. This years judges included Angela Rippon OBE, Anne Walker MBE and Jonathan Gray (Editor of the Dancing Times Magazine). Principal of the school, Natalie Shaw, said about the win, "We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded a Gold trophy. The competition from other schools throughout the UK and Europe was extremely high and we were the only Dance School in Berkshire and West Surrey to reach the finals." In 2017 the school will be celebrating it's 25th anniversary and offers classes in RAD Ballet, Tap, Street Dance, Contemporary, Drama and Musical Theatre in a number of branches including Sunninghill, Bracknell, Warfield and Chertsey.

Natalie added "2015/2016 has been amazing for NVSDD Students  - they have performed in 14 separate shows/productions since November 2015, achieved incredible examination results and had huge success in competitions/auditions and vocational studies. I am so proud of everyone and would not only like to thank NVSDD Students and Parents for helping to raise nearly £2000 for charity this year, but to thank our wonderful teachers - talented, creative, professional and supportive!”
