Charters School , Year 11's Celebrate Their Time at School  Year 11 students at Charters School in Sunningdale celebrated their five years at the school with a Final Assembly on Monday 9 May. Students and their parents joined members of staff to remember the milestones and achievements that have made life at Charters so enjoyable.

The school Function Band entertained the audience with a rendition of “I Feel Good”, and the atmosphere was one of celebration as students received awards. Esher Misra sang a medley of songs, accompanied by Hani Elias on guitar before the Co-Headteachers congratulated the cohort on their unity and respect for one another, two key elements in the Charters motto.

Once the assembly came to a close, the students congregated in the central grassed area where they were given a label on which to write their wishes for the future and these were tied to helium balloons and released into the sky. There were a few tears as the balloons drifted into the air and a general feeling of excitement for the future. Miss Pam Goody, Head of Year 11 said, “The class of 2016 have excelled throughout their five years at Charters. They have worked hard and really deserve to have their wishes come true.”

The School Prom was held at Club 1 in Ascot on Monday evening, before the students returned to school on Tuesday morning to continue preparing for their GCSE exams with structured study clinics.
