Although  Charters School in Sunningdale is regarded as a beacon of academic excellence in the local area, there is much more to the school than just reading, writing and arithmetic!

In the last week alone, students have visited the Theatre Royal in Windsor to see a production of Twelfth Night, the Under 16 girl’s football team has played in the final of the Berkshire Schools County Cup and the Music Department has sung at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Celebration of Music in Berkshire. Waddleton, the new school mascot, has joined the students at all of these events and his adventures can be followed on the school’s Twitter page @ChartersSchool

Mr Richard Pilgrim, Co-Headteacher at Charters School said, “We are always on the lookout for new ways of letting our students and parents know what each other is up to in support of the school.  To that end we are proud to introduce Waddleton, so named after Charters’ founding Headteacher, John Waddleton, as our new school mascot.  He has started to appear with our students at all manner of fantastic events.  If you would like to follow his adventures on twitter go to #WhereIsWaddleton.”
