Parent donates £35,000 for PiXL Edge | PiXL Edge is an innovative national framework for secondary schools and sixth form providers that is becoming increasingly well-known and respected around the country. Conceived and developed by Richard Pilgrim, Co-Headteacher at Charters School in Sunningdale, the practical plan develops skills and attributes identified by employers as being important when students move into employment or further education within a validated qualification.

The scheme which runs nationally in schools and colleges was given a huge boost when Mr Paul Powers, Managing Director of Adaptable Team Solutions donated £35,000 to the initiative. Mr Richard Pilgrim said, “We are extremely grateful to Paul Powers for his generous donation in support of the Edge programme for the next seven years.  We want Charters to be at the forefront of the development of key life and employability skills and this financial support will allow this to happen.”

Mr Powers, whose son attends Charters School said, “I am only too happy to donate to PiXL Edge. At a time when huge emphasis is put on high academic achievements, it is refreshing to find that there is a national framework young people can complete which recognises the skills valued by employers. Charters is a great school where all students are valued and Richard Pilgrim’s creation of PiXL Edge is a reflection of their holistic approach.”
