Twelve year old Jamie Kedwards of Licensed Victualler's School Ascot  won the East Berkshire Finals of Rotary Young Chef 2015/16 which was held at the Licensed Victualler's School Ascot on Tuesday 10 th November .

Competitors were asked to produce in a 1.5 hour timescale a 2 course meal for two persons ,with a cost of ingredients not to exceed £11.

Jamie  calmly  and efficiently produced a meal of outstanding  quality and taste and the presentation of his dishes was superb.

His menu consisted of Seared Scallop with Wild Sorrel Butter, Sambucobacca Risotto and Pecan Bark Biltong served with a carrot twist, infused artichoke and a Rouge Juice and a dessert of Honey and Cinnamon Glazed Fig with a Goat's Cheese and Vanilla Cheesecake served with Tuile leaves Other competitors included  runner up Molly Burdon of Ranelagh  School, ,Madelaine Brant of Charters School and Eve o'Connell of St Mary's Ascot .

Jamie will now go through to the Rotary Thames Valley District Final which will be held at Garth Hill College,Bracknell  on Saturday 27 th February 2016.

Our Judges , Martha  Collision ,Winner 2011 and BBC Great British Bake - Off quarter finalist and Mrs Jean Goff  praised the  high standard of each student .
