Residents Invited to Have Their Say on Council Services

Residents who receive the postal survey are asked to consider a wide range of key services such as waste and recycling collections, libraries, highway maintenance, traffic management and community safety, and give their views about the standard and quality and where they think improvements are needed.

Cllr David Burbage, council leader, said he hoped those who received a questionnaire would take part.

He said: “We are continually striving to make sure the borough is the best it can be and that the council is serving residents in the way that they want.

“By completing this simple survey residents can help us identify areas we are doing well and areas where they feel there could be improvement so we can focus our attention accordingly.”

Cllr Claire Stretton, principal member for culture and communities, said: “We are always really keen to hear from our residents and especially to get valuable feedback about how we are performing as a council.

“This annual survey is an important way we gauge our performance and helps to make council services even better.”

The survey – conducted on the council's behalf by independent market research company BMG – has been circulated to 2,000 randomly selected residents. The closing date is the end of December, after which all the responses will be analysed and the information used by the council to help plan for the future of local services.
